The stage of this show had a fake pool built into The stage of this show had a fake pool built into the orchestra pit and fireworks went off within the first fifteen minutes of the show, which pretty much immediately confirmed they were going to bring the necessary drama to The Great Gatsby, Old Sport. SUNSET BOULEVARD, TWISTING BOULEVARD - me for the SUNSET BOULEVARD, TWISTING BOULEVARD - me for the next seven days after seeing this show. The production on Sunset Blvd. was genuinely insane. The cast were amazing, the set and costume design was fantastic, and the incorporation of cameras was wild and so fun. Playing off the energy of the show’s Hollywood setting, they had real cameras on stage, which projected onto a screen behind the performers. At one point, they went out onto the streets of New York, singing and dancing an entire number. It was 👏🏻 phenomenal. 👏🏻 Would happily see the show again if I were able to. For now, working on getting the lead track on my Spotify Wrapped for 2025. Chef’s kiss. 💋
Me walking into any store ever: “THIS is the not Me walking into any store ever: “THIS is the notebook that is going to change my life.” Me trying to organize my notebook collection: *Please see notebook on top left.* One of my goals this year is to self-publish my own book of poems, and the process is starting with organization! So far, I’ve pulled what I’ve jotted down in various notebooks and attempted to tame the monster that is my Evernote app 😬 Currently sitting on a work-in-progress document that contains 173 poems in a in a variety of states of unfinished, all of which have managed to survive the first round of cuts! That will change by the end of the process! Time to hit the writing, editing, and cutting floor! And then hit it again! 😂🤞🏻 Sidenote: Some of these notebooks have traveled the world with me and I therefore have an unbreakable attachment to them, to the point where I’m scared to entirely fill them up because then I’ll have to officially retire them! 😫 Tagging Paris in the location, because it’s seen most of them!
